Bail Bonds in Warren, MI
Warren, MI began as a small settlement known as Beebe’s Corners that was founded in 1830. The first resident of the town was a man named Charles Groesbeck. Serving as a stopping place for carriages between Detroit and Utica, the community also included a mill, distillery, trading post, and a tavern. Warren Township was organized in 1837, first known by the name of Hickory.
In 1839 the town was again renamed and went by the name of Aba, and again shortly thereafter, the town was renamed Warren. The name of Warren was given to honor renowned veteran of the War of 1812 and frontier cleric Rev. Abel Warren. As the first licensed preacher in Michigan, Abel Warren travelled through present-day Macomb, Oakland, Lapeer, and St. Clair Counties marrying, baptizing, and burying pioneers and residents of the area. He also helped establish congregations and preached extensively.
